Customer Service & Client Communication for Small Teams

15 lessons · 2 hrs 21 min

Keeping your promises is one of the most important things customers judge a small business on. Fifteen lessons, each a researched written lesson with its sources and a narrated video, teach a small team the people side of service. You learn what customers actually judge: a promise kept, making it easy before making it special, and the moments they remember. You handle the first contact at every door, find the real question, and say the wait before they ask. You learn the policy before you explain it, say a no that doesn't sound harsh, and know what a team member can decide alone. When it goes wrong, you make it easy for unhappy customers to tell you, log every complaint and look for the repeat, offer a recovery you can say out loud, and make the apology that closes the loop. Then you learn when to hand it up and how to stay steady after a hard customer. You finish by building your own Service Book.

Front Desk & Client Intake Excellence for Small Teams

15 lessons · 2 hrs 45 min

The front desk is where a client forms a first impression of your business, and where a small team can earn the rest. Fifteen lessons, each a researched written lesson with its sources and a narrated video, show a small team how to run a desk any new hire can learn. You make the first thirty seconds count, at the counter and on the phone, and see the desk from the client's chair. You build intake that doesn't miss, forms people can finish, and a smooth path from check-in to check-out. You keep one book with clear rules, send reminders that keep the appointment, and handle no-shows, late arrivals and the waitlist. You make sure messages don't get lost, hand work off cleanly, take payment at the desk, mind what the waiting room can hear, and treat the desk as the business's memory. You finish by building your own Desk Guide. Where the law comes in, with fees, card surcharges, consent to record calls or send texts, and disability access, the course says the rules exist and points you to the owner, the payment processor and the business's attorney; health-practice privacy rules belong to the client data privacy course. This course is not legal or financial advice.

Harassment Prevention & Respectful Workplace for Small Teams

15 lessons · 2 hrs 39 min

Respect is the floor; the law is the basement. Fifteen lessons, each a researched written lesson with its sources and a narrated video, teach a small team what harassment is, where it grows, and what to do about it. You learn what the law calls harassment, write a policy people can actually read, and give people at least two ways to report, with retaliation treated as its own wrong. You learn what to do if it happens to you, if you see it, and when the harasser is a client or customer. Owners and team leaders learn the first hour after a report and how to respond promptly and fairly, then how to notice early and deal with small stuff before it grows. You also learn what good training looks like, how to find out what your state or city may require, and how to keep a training log that tells the truth. You finish with your own Respect at Work Binder; the pages that touch the law tell you to have HR or an employment attorney review them before you use them. This course is not legal advice. It isn't built to meet any state or city training requirement, and finishing it doesn't mean your business has met one.

HIPAA & Client Data Privacy for Small Practices (Staff Training)

15 lessons · 2 hrs 41 min

Patient privacy isn't just the doctor's job; it belongs to everyone who handles patient information, from the front desk to billing. Fifteen lessons, each a researched written lesson with its sources and a narrated video, teach a small practice's whole staff how to protect it day to day. You learn what counts as protected health information, who the privacy officer is, and why the practice's own written policies are the house rules. You handle the everyday moments: sharing only what's needed, what the waiting room can hear, and phones, voicemail, reminders and family members. You learn patients' rights to their own records, how to check who's asking, and what outside helpers have to promise. You keep it secure on screens, logins and devices, in email, texts and faxes, and on paper and in the trash, and you learn to spot the tricks. When something goes wrong, you learn how to tell whether it might be a breach and why you report it the same day. You finish by building your own Privacy Workbook. This course is staff training. It isn't legal advice, and it isn't a credential or a seal of approval; your practice's privacy officer and written policies govern.

New Manager & Team Lead Basics for Small Teams

15 lessons · 1 hr 57 min

Becoming the lead changes the job: you are now measured on what the team produces, not on what you finish yourself. Fifteen lessons, each a researched written lesson with its sources and a narrated video, take a new manager or team lead from the first thirty days to running the team. You learn to lead with clarity instead of control, set expectations people can follow, hold priorities on a busy day, delegate without dumping, follow up without hovering, and keep people accountable without drama. You learn to give feedback people can use and praise that teaches, and to handle the difficult performance conversation. Then you set a daily team rhythm and hold one-on-ones worth having. You finish by building your own Team Lead Playbook.

New-Hire Onboarding & SOP Readiness for Small Teams

15 lessons · 2 hrs 8 min

A new hire's first ninety days decide more than the interview did. Fifteen lessons, each a researched written lesson with its sources and a narrated video, show a small-team lead how to bring one person in and get them to ready. You get everything in place before day one, plan day one hour by hour, and set one real task done right by Friday, with a buddy and a clear answer to who to ask. You decide which tasks need an SOP first, write SOPs someone can follow the first time, and build checklists that get used. You teach the work with show, try, check, review new work without hovering, and handle mistakes in the first month. Then you run the check-ins at thirty, sixty and ninety days, and learn what to do when it isn't working. You finish with your own Onboarding Kit, ready for the next hire.

Workplace Safety Essentials for Small Teams

15 lessons · 2 hrs 39 min

Everyone on a small team should go home in one piece. Fifteen lessons, each a researched written lesson with its sources and a narrated video, cover the everyday hazards of a small business and what to do about them. You learn your right to speak up, protected, and who helps a small business with safety. You deal with the floor you walk past, lifting and reaching, and heat on the job. You read a label and a safety data sheet, and wear protective gear right. You check cords, outlets and tools, plan for fire and the ways out, and get ready for first aid: who is trained, where the kit is, and how to call for help. When someone gets hurt, you report injuries and near misses and handle blood and sharps safely. You finish by building your own Safety Folder. This course is not a certification of any kind, finishing it is not a credential, and it is not legal advice.

Workplace Violence Prevention for Small Service Teams

15 lessons · 2 hrs 47 min

A small service team can't control who walks through the door, but it can prepare. Fifteen lessons, each a researched written lesson with its sources and a narrated video, teach your team to leave, get safe and call for help. You learn the four directions violence comes from and where your team is exposed, let the building do half the work, and set safer routines for opening, closing and working alone. You learn the signs that come before, how to calm a situation down for safety, how to disengage and get out, and how to call for help. Three hard situations get their own lessons: a robbery, knowing your exits, and when danger follows someone to work. Then you learn to speak up early and what to do after an incident. You finish by building your own Get-Safe Plan. It is not, by itself, the written workplace violence prevention plan some states require, and this course is not legal advice.
